Horizon Scanning (HS) is a tool to identify and prioritize invasive alien species (IAS) absent or not yet widely spread, which may pose a potential threat to the environment in a given region.
The Conference Preparing Europe for invasion by the beetles emerald ash borer and bronze birch borer, two major tree-killing pests, will be held in Vienna, Austria, on 1-4 October 2018.
Management and sharing of IAS data to support knowledge-based decision making at regional level
From biodiversity and genetics to spatial planning and aquaculture economics, the 18 theme sessions making up the programme at ASC 2018 will showcase the latest cutting-edge science and research, with the conference keynotes also announced.
The conference will be held at the Alice Springs Convention Centre in Alice Springs, Northern Territory, from Sunday 23rd to Wednesday 26th September, 2018.
