The Geodatabase 6.7 is out
EASIN Geodatabase 6.7 contains 113,732,444 observations on alien species in Europe, 98,569 more than previous version. 37,445 spatial data concern species alien to the French Outermost regions, a geographical layer recently implemented.
The Geodatabase aggregates spatial data retrieved from a network of Data Partners, on the basis of the species contained in the EASIN Catalogue. Literature search (EASIN-Lit), also contributes to enriching the Geodatabase through screening the scientific publications and retrieving geo-referenced data.
Geographical data can be visualized on the EASIN Specie Search and Mapping tool, where the maps show the presence of alien species at country, grid, river basin district and marine ecoregion level. Depending on the number of species present, the color in the map varies in intensity. The maps generated can be downloaded and exported as PDF document.
Navigate on the map of species of your interest in the “species search and mapping tool” page and if you want to help enriching the geodatabase to the benefit of the research community please check the “contribute" page.
